Overview For a large financial services client, we are seeking a Developer with Unix Scripting/Python and Big Data, to work on a 1 year or longer project. The project involves a large-scale enterprise-wide AWS migration, so the Developer needs to have worked on similar applications. The hired individual should be a strong, versatile developer, and will use Unix scripting as well as Python or similar languages to help connect applications to enterprise databases, so they need Big Data or database experience. Financial industry experience and AWS experience are plus. Responsibilities Develop, modify, or update code used by business units to help connect applications to enterprise database. Participate in the implementation of multiple applications in a Unix/Linux environment, using Unix scripting, as well as Python and other languages as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. 3+ years assisting in the implementation of large-scale, real-time, business critical systems / software applications in a Unix environment.
