The CTO position serves in an executive leadership capacity and will play a lead role in driving the Air Force technology strategy, technology execution and management of the technology teams. The position will oversee technology services, product analysis, and software architecture activities as well as to influence enterprise wide IT policy and future projects. Matrix manages a team of engineers to develop Information Technology (IT) solutions in the areas of: 1) IP Network 2) Cybersecurity 3) Voice and Data 4) cloud computing 5) mobility. Matrix manages a team of engineers to develop Information Technology (IT) solutions in the areas of: 1) IP Network; 2) Cybersecurity; 3) Voice and Data; 4) cloud computing 5) mobility. Responsible for 1) developing work breakdown 2) assigning engineering to cross functional teams 3) ensuring that solutions integrate and inter-operate 4) developing work statements to partner vendors 5) analyzing solution alternatives 6) assessing partner proposals 7) developing basis of estimates 8) developing proposal responses 9) developing solution cost model. Lead responsibility for ensuring solution quality, presenting solutions to clients; and representing the solution to executive leadership.Candidate needs Greater 15+ Years' experience in a solutions / enterprise architect capacity (network, large scale enterprise systems integration, IT Strategy and Management, IT Transformations, Cloud Architecture and migrations' mobility). Minimum 5+ years in a consulting and/or professional services environment, which should have included conducting business development activities as part of the role. 4+ years as a technical solutions architect in a consulting and/or systems integrator environment, including time supporting sales and managing technical staff and implementations. At least 3 years' experience in infrastructure and/or application architecture and design of complex distributed systems environments. Experience with Cloud Native application. At least 2 years' experience in architecting security solutions, including cloud-based security models; demonstrated understanding of information security policies, standards, industry best standards and frameworks (eg, ISO 27K, NIST 800-53, FISMA, STIG)Experience in a technical lead role.
