    Applicants must have at least one full year (12-months) of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the Grade 5 grade level (relative to federal and market standards) performing the following duties and responsibilities:

    • Providing support in analyzing and reporting economic data and modeling behavior as it relates to economic research.
    • Assisting in assisting senior economists in analyzing economic performance and trends;
    • Developing and maintaining economic databases;
    • Assisting in assisting senior staff in preparing written materials (i.e. publication, program newsletter, meeting reports); and
    • Education and/or experience relating to U.S-Canada economic and foreign policy relations

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Proficiency in French is highly desirable.

    A bachelor’s degree is not a requirement for this position, however an academic degree, coursework and/or experience in Canada-U.S. international policy and/or economics is highly desirable.
