Position Overview
Freddie Mac’s Single-Family Data Governance & Management (SF DG&M) organization in the SF Division is currently seeking an Shared Information Support Tech Lead on its Business Intelligence & Analytics team. The SF DG&M team is responsible for making data available to manage and support the SF business. This data is utilized by teams that create analytics and models. The person filling this role would work with SF department teams to understand the use cases associated with the end user data consumption requirements necessary to achieve business benefits and/or satisfy mandates. This person would work with Governance to establish standards and guidelines for the use of data. As a member of Big Data Center of Excellence, partner with business and IT teams to drive and deliver new data consumption capabilities through the Data Lake efforts. Ideal candidates would have working knowledge of relational data stores, Data Integration techniques, Metadata Management, Data Quality, XML, SAS, R, DB2, Oracle, Vertica, Hadoop distributions, emerging tools and technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem and awareness of Cloud Integration. Responsibilities include:
* Supports the Single Family Data Strategy inclusive of the build out of a multi-year roadmap with focus on data usage patterns, business specific capabilities and use cases to support Analytics & Modeling areas.
* Supports the identification of new analytical capabilities as defined in the Single Family Data strategy.
* Supports multi-tenancy, expansion and upgrades of Big Data Hadoop platform.
* Delivers new data consumption capabilities in conjunction with Business Owner, Governance, Operations, Big Data CoE, and IT teams.
* Executes organizational processes to support the data consumption function in SF DG&M.
* Will support large, strategic, cross-disciplinary business change efforts.
* Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems within the Analytics space.
* Performs project leadership role on large data centric projects, and provide leadership to Business Operations of the Hadoop Data Lake.
* Interacts with customer and vendor personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.
* Owns one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural “experts” representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
* Delivers strategic solutions aligning with future state data architecture and Single Family Data Strategy.
* Provide technical leadership for evaluation and implementation of new tools/technologies/platforms to support Business Intelligence/Analytics.

Basic Requirements
* Current experience as part of a divisional or enterprise data management function with working knowledge of modeling, analytic, dashboarding, and reporting tools. (Responsibilities should be within the last 6-12 months.)
* At least 8-10 years of hands-on data management experience and 2+ years management experience.
* 5-7 years experience with Big Data technologies/ecosystem.
* Experience with Operations.
* College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.

Preferred Skills
* Experience in the Mortgage industry, Freddie Mac, and information management needs are a plus.
* Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changes.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
