We are seeking a Senior Director/Director, Corporate Communications to lead a team of PR experts who are promoting our company and our products. The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing abilities, oral communication skills, strong existing media relationships, and the ability to develop additional relationships with key members of the media and to execute on a variety of marketing communications initiatives at one time. This position requires internal collaboration with cross-functional teams as well as executives to identify newsworthy opportunities across our different product lines. What You Will Be Doing: Lead and execute on regular public relations outreach Manage communications team responsible for all external and internal communications Actively manage a PR firm to gain placements in the leading business and trade publications Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for Cvent's key media contacts, and industry influencers Convert software features and functionality into value propositions in press releases and marketing communications materials Create a variety of PR materials including press releases, media relations content, speaking points/speeches, executive bios, interview briefing materials, corporate newsletter content, social media content, speaking proposals, etc. Manage internal communications strategy with Cvent employees globally in partnership with our HR team Research and analyze reporter coverage areas, industry trends and Cvent data to develop innovative story ideas and conduct media outreach8-10 years of practical experience in public relations; agency and technology experience highly preferred Past experience managing PR firms Proven track record in managing public relations on cross-functional teams that work in concert with integrated marketing plans Demonstrated experience with building, growing and leading a team Ability to write clear, impactful press releases and persuasive marketing copy Attention to detail, deadline-focused and ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks High degree of computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and other PR management tools A keen enthusiasm for and demonstrable understanding of Web trends and technologies Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management and other departments Bachelor's degree required; major in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism is strongly preferred Experience leading PR efforts for both public and private companies is a plus Experience being a company spokesperson with extensive media training
