A. Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. (You must provide supporting transcripts)
B. Possess a combination of education and experience - that provided you with the knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (You must provide supporting transcripts and your resume must support your answer)
C. Possess four years of appropriate experience that demonstrates acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. (Your resume must support your answer)
Minimum Qualifications, GS-11: You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C):
A. Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service that included: Delivering or monitoring the economic development, social services or other programs that support minority, disadvantaged or indigenous populations, especially Native American communities; Ensuring grantee compliance with project goals, objectives, and timelines; and Communicating orally and in writing to provide technical assistance to grantees. (Your resume must support your answer)
B. Possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field directly related to the position, such as behavioral or social sciences. (You must provide supporting transcripts)
C. Combination of specialized experience and education - Have less than one year of experience as described in Response A; and more than two years but less than three years of education as described in Response B. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a graduate degree, in excess of 36 semester hours, and divide by 18 semester hours or equivalent. Then take the number of months of experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. Minimum Qualifications, GS-12: You must meet the item listed below:
A. Have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service that included: Independently delivering economic development, social services or other programs that support minority, disadvantaged or indigenous populations, especially Native American communities; Analyzing relevant data to prepare reports and guidelines; Analyzing, researching and/or modifying established methods to develop new methods or criteria and/or make recommendations on viable solutions to program efficiency issues; and Communicating orally and in writing to assist applicants in areas involving application questions, pre-award negotiation and post-award monitoring of grant activities.
