    • The work is performed primarily in office settings, conference rooms, and similar environments. 

    Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including the following specialized experience and/or education, as identified by grade level.

    FOR THE GS-11 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:

    • Experience evaluating, collecting, and analyzing data related to trade-related information, as well the development of draft conclusions and report preparation.
    • Experience interpreting trade regulations and trade laws.
    • Experience preparing reports and position papers on issues affecting trade.
    • Experience in creating a plan and development of studies and/or analysis relating to trade and to provide technical advice and recommendations to team.
    • Experience collecting and analyzing information and data to summarize and provide recommendations to senior staff.

    OR Ph.D. in a major of study such as marketing, business administration, political science, public administration, history, business or commercial law, economics, finance, international trade, or international relations. Or equivalent doctoral degree Or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree Or LL.M., if related.

    Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.

    FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:

    • Experience evaluating, collecting, and analyzing data related to U.S Agricultural trade-related information, as well the development of draft conclusions and report preparation.
    • Experience with U.S. agricultural trade legislation and regulations and international agreements and trade laws.
    • Experience preparing reports and position papers on issues affecting U.S. agricultural trade.
    • Experience in creating a plan and development of studies and/or analysis relating to U.S. agricultural trade and to provide technical advice and recommendations to team or senior staff.
    • Experience collecting and analyzing large amounts of information and data to summarize and provide recommendations to senior staff.
    • Experience presenting findings and/or studies to team leaders and senior management (Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.)

    TRANSCRIPTS are required if:

    • You are qualifying for this position based on a combination of experience and education.
    • This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university.

    Applications will be evaluated in accordance with Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) Delegated Examining Procedures using category rating. The category rating procedure is used to rank and select eligible candidates.
