  • Minimum Qualifications, GS-15: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service that included: Formulating policies, strategies, objectives, and/or plans involving emergency preparedness and response in the area of human services; Providing leadership for the planning and implementation of all aspects of agency response to human services needs during a national disaster; Managing an Immediate Disaster Case Management Program (ICDM) and its electronic client record; and Presenting at national conferences on disaster human services.     Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.

    This is a supervisory position. Under provisions of the Civil Service Reform Act, first time supervisors and/or managers will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
