Assists in providing comprehensive services to children and families enrolled in the Early Head Start Family Child Care Program. Provides support services to family child care providers in the implementation of the Head Start Program Performance Standards through bi-weekly visits. Responsible for case management and documentation using the ChildPlus software system, recruitment and enrollment of eligible families, implementation of curriculum, tracking of health requirements and the provision of family services. Provides training and technical assistance to Early Head Start designated family child care providers. Some evening and weekend work required. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Head Start Coordinator.

Note: Job announcement will be used to fill multiple vacancies. In addition, the salary offer for the position will not exceed midpoint the advertised salary range. Employment Standards MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in early childhood education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field; plus some responsible experience in day care administration or early child development programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in early childhood education, early childhood development, social work or family studies. Proficiency in using human services database(s)/automated system(s). Excellent oral and writing skills. Some responsible experience in child care administration, early child development programs or working with low income families. Proficiency in Spanish
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:Valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check, Child Protective Services Registry check, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer. Sufficiently mobile to travel to and visit family day care homes and centers as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate keyboard driven equipment and input, access and retrieve information from a computer. Ability to lift up to 30 to 50 pounds. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Panel interview; may include a written exercise.
