    Experience providing assistance to an organization to ensure that the organization develops and maintains an effective computer security program. Experience assisting application and system owners during the development and modification of IT systems to ensure that security requirements are met.

    In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate RECENT knowledge and experience in the following:
    1. Experience with/ knowledge of IT analysis, planning, development, integration and operation of IT security infrastructure solutions.
    2. Should have one or more of the following active security certifications or hands on experience in these areas:
    • Security+ from COMPTIA; SSCP, CAP, Associate of (ISC)2 from ISC2, Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Penetration Tester (GPEN)
    • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 Foundations certificate.
    Assisting project officer on contracts. Experience participating in the planning, formulation, and implementation of effective contract and project/program management.

    Complying with IT laws, regulations, policies, standards, security requirements, guidelines, and cyber-security methods and/or Information System Security Officer (ISSO) experience.

    Has knowledge of project management concepts and ability to manage compliance activities, remediating vulnerabilities, and configuration and vulnerability management software technologies.

    Ability to write clearly and make logical oral presentations to effectively convey detailed information of a technical nature and present technical issues at all management levels (including Senior Executives and C-level executives (i.e. CEO, CFO, CIO, CSO …), industry representatives, external organizations and other federal government agencies.
