Systems Administrator, Senior

Key Role:
Work on major, more complex IT architecture projects with full competency. Apply hardware engineering and software design theories and principles to researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces. Provide integrated systems planning and recommend innovative technologies that will enhance the current system. Recommend the appropriate desktop, computer platform, and communication links required to support IT goals and strategies. Coordinate the activities of the project team and assist with monitoring project schedules and costs, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks
-Experience with desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring security, operating system (OS) installation, and local area system administration functions
-Experience with using VMWare-hosted virtual machines
-Experience with writing and maintaining computer system documentation
-Knowledge of configuring and managing UNIX, including Solaris or CentOS and Windows operating systems
-Knowledge of configuring and managing Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL database systems
-Ability to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and manage IT system infrastructure and any processes of these systems
-Active TS/SCI clearance required; willingness to take a polygraph exam
-HS diploma or GED and 4 years of experience with systems administration or BA or BS degree and 2 years of experience with systems administration
-Active DoD 8570 Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with writing and maintaining DoD computer system documentation
-Experience with using DevOps methodologies
-Experience with administrating Windows IIS installation
-Experience with PHP, Perl, Python, or Java programming 
-Knowledge of intermediate to advanced UNIX or Linux command line scripting
-BS degree preferred
