Metamaterials Research Lead

Key Role:
Conduct research, development, prototyping, and testing of metamaterials. Work with the government lead to market the research and capability to potential customers. Work with the government lead to analyze and execute the project, including technical goals, budget, and schedule. Identify the risks and a risk mitigation plan. Plan and conduct experiments and development models and conduct analyses to gain knowledge to solve problems. Provide technical guidance in controllable metamaterials, RF signatures, materials science, military applications, experimentation and laboratory tools, including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and LCR meters, measuring impedance characteristics, including permeability and permittivity of active components, and modeling and simulation tools, including MATLAB, Python, Labview, Spice, Feko, CST, and HFSS.

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with hands-on laboratory work in metamaterials research 
-5+ years of experience with project management 
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), Carbon Nanotubes (CNTs), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), software-defined radios and FPGAs, sensor characterization, EO/IR signatures, and EO/IR modeling and simulation tools, including NVTherm and MODTRAN
