The Coordinator, Commuter and Graduate Student Services develops and coordinates programming and support services for commuter, graduate, and transfer students. The coordinator serves as the advisor to commuter and graduate student clubs; assesses and communicates student needs to University leadership; and collaborates with organizations in the local community to enhance student resources and services. This position also monitors multiple budgets, and supports the University in campus wide events, hiring processes, and committees as related to position.
Bachelorâ€™s degree (BA, BS, etc.) in education, Counseling, Event Planning, Hospitality Management, or related discipline; 1 to 3 years of related experience, specifically event planning, team leadership/supervision, and program coordination. Microsoft Office skills including Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel. Knowledge of social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Masterâ€™s degree (MA, MS, MBA, etc.) in Higher Education, Education, Counseling, Event Planning, Hospitality Management, or related discipline preferred. Knowledge of Student Affairs and related programs preferred. Knowledge of event planning and ability to manage multiple priorities.
