Degree: Must possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B), Maters of Law (L.L.M.), or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. (Must submit transcripts with application)
Bar Status: Must be an active member of the bar in good standing, duly licensed and authorized to practice law as an attorney under the laws of a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. (Must submit proof of current good standing with application)
Experience: Must possess at least 5 years of experience as a practicing lawyer post J.D., in either professional responsibility and/or immigration law to qualify for the position. Examples of qualifying experience include but are not limited to the following: providing legal advice and representation on professional responsibility and/or immigration law issues in formal and informal settings; experience working with professional responsibility or ethics issues, including but not limited to at state bar counsel offices, disciplinary committee offices, or state or local bar associations, representing clients in litigation; and demonstrating skills and proficiency in legal analysis and legal writing.
