  • For the GS-14: You may start at $114,590.00 if you possess the following by the closing date of the announcement:

    Specialized experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector performing legal work involving pension plan participant research and analysis. Examples may include: evaluating plan sponsor Title IV issues; evaluating participant entitlements and benefits administration under Title IV of ERISA.

    All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement.

    In order to qualify for this position, you must possess a J.D. degree from a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA).

    Applicants who obtained their qualifying education outside of the U.S. and its territories must provide proof that their degrees have been validated as equivalent to a degree conferred by a college or university in the U.S. Unofficial transcripts may be submitted with your application; however, you must bring official transcripts with you on your first day if you are hired.

    In addition to the education requirement, you must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a State, a Territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
