Job Description: Sentara Healthcare is hiring a Director, System Performance Improvement & Business CN

Provides corporate oversight for Quality Management/Performance Improvement (divisional and medical staff). Medical Staff Peer Review, related Policies and Procedures, budgeting, fiscal management, business planning, and project management. Serves as a corporate process owner responsible for the design and implementation of key initiatives that integrate, support, and link strategic imperatives relating to clinical performance improvement, patient safety, policies, and procedures for areas of responsibility. Works with the Corporate Director of Clinical Effectiveness, VP/Chief Clinical Officer and divisional Hospital Presidents/VPMAs/Nurse Executives. Organizes and coordinates system strategies that focus activities to support system and customer goals, to optimize results, and to reduce duplication of effort and technology. Provides administrative oversight for the design and implementation of systems and methodologies to support measurement and results reporting through Clinical and Business intelligence (CBI) and Information Systems. Serves as the system functional owner for DNV Quality Management System and related ISO standards.

Masters degree required with emphasis in nursing, health care management, clinical performance improvement or related field. Minimum of five years administrative experience in system-level health care and clinical process improvement required. Prior experience in medical staff performance improvement and senior medical staff leadership support required. Those with a professional license or certification are required to hold and maintain such. Project Management experience required. Quantitative Skills experience required. Travel required.
