9 month, Part-Time Mental Health Counselor

George Mason University, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) invites applications for a Part-Time Mental Health Counselor position. Responsibilities This position will provide initial evaluation, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and referral services to university students. This is an hourly wage position; hourly rate will depend upon level of training and experience. Hours will be Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:30am-7:00pm at the Arlington campus and Wednesdays from 8:30am-5:00pm at the Fairfax campus. Preferred start date of August 13, 2018.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling/clinical psychology, social work, or a similar field, or a combination of education and experience; and
  • Currently licensed to practice as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in Virginia. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with collegiate mental health or similar developmental populations.
