Requirements

Program Manager - Office of the President

The Program Manager closely supports many of the important administrative functions of the President, the Vice President  & Chief of Staff, and the President's Office, and serves as a public-facing representative of the Office of the President to both internal and external constituencies. S/he puts a premium on initiative, versatility, good judgment, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and a positive, can-do attitude. Reporting to the Assistant to the President for Administration and Special Programs and works closely with many members of the office team in duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Manages special projects (both short- and long-term) for the President, the Vice President & Chief of Staff, and the Assistant to the President for Administration and Special Programs.
  • Manages the President's office student employee program and coordinates prospective student visits.
  • Provides general office management, for example, answer phones, ship and receive, troubleshoot office technology, and manage office supplies.
  • Provides event support, for example, VIP guest handling, pre-event research, and stage support.
  • Provides various types of project support, for example, maintain directories and holiday card and gift lists, assist with special projects, and help with special campus events that require the involvement of the President's office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Outstanding communication skills, close attention to detail, good judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality
  • Ability to be flexible and to exercise a pleasant manner in a good team environment
  • Availability and willingness to occasionally work outside of regular business hours - weekends and late evenings
