Maintain responsibility for maintaining and troubleshooting multiple operating systems and applications individually and as part of a team. Monitor server performance daily, communicate and troubleshoot incident responses effectively, maintain and improve automation, conduct regularly scheduled vulnerability remediation, upgrades, and patching, and perform and analyze security evaluations. Ensure the long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in overall information systems organization planning. Support security maintenance activities to ensure compliance.
-Ability to troubleshoot client issues and communicate with the client
-Ability to complete basic troubleshooting steps to resolve issues
-Ability to build, configure, and maintain servers within compliance
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-HS diploma or GED required
-Experience with Windows or Linux servers, including installing and maintaining applications, troubleshooting, reviewing logs, and patching
-Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including launching servers, trouble creating and maintaining Snapshots or AMIs, and working on troubleshooting and best practices
-Experience with scripting in PowerShell and bash, basic networking, and Web servers
-Experience with Active Directory, DNS, GPO , SQL, Apache, Windows Azure, HBSS, BIG-IP F5, Splunk, IIS, Tomcat, or Redhat preferred
-Knowledge of basic SharePoint usage, including creating and maintaining SharePoint sites and content
-Knowledge of information security, including systems and network security, best practices, documentation, and user authentication
-Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, STIGs, and PKI
