Lecturer in Biology
The Biology Department at Loyola University Maryland seeks a full-time Lecturer in the areas of general biology beginning in September 2018. The Biology Department at Loyola is a student-centered department, offering a comprehensive curriculum, and composed of collegial faculty members dedicated to outstanding teaching, using innovative and collaborative approaches. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to contribute to this environment by showing the potential for excellent teaching within the context of an undergraduate liberal arts university. Teaching will include multiple lecture and lab sections of our introductory biology courses, Molecular/Cellular Biology, Organismal Biology and, and Ecology Evolution and Biodiversity. A non-major or majors-level course offering in the candidate's area of expertise is also a possibility. Candidates must have at least a Masters in biology or a closely related field. Previous teaching at the college or university level is preferred.
