POSITION OVERVIEW:

Manages engagement efforts and supports select customer accounts to drive greater customer satisfaction and utilization of Bloomberg BNA’s Environment Health & Safety (EHS) products to maximize customer retention. Provides account training, acts as a liaison between assigned accounts and sales representatives and other Bloomberg BNA departments, identifies up-sell opportunities, and answers customer inquiries in a timely fashion.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and manage relationships with key decision makers to drive usage and adoption of Bloomberg BNA:

    • Create preference of Bloomberg BNA as “the” must-have products among EHS professionals

    • Establish long-term relationships with customers and identify up-sell opportunities

  • Train and support assigned accounts to maximize utilization of BNA’s EHS products:

    • Schedule and execute product training sessions with assigned accounts

    • Develop strategy for treatment of different types of accounts and customizes training approaches based on subscription(s) and practice area needs

    • Communicate with accounts on a regular basis to maximize product usage, including onboarding training of new employees to their firm

  • Act as a liaison between accounts and BBNA’s EHS, customer support, and sales teams:

    • Monitor client satisfaction and provides feedback to editorial and product management teams

    • Work across tax & accounting practice areas within assigned accounts to identify needs and develop key account plans and strategies

    • Ensure that all customer inquiries and concerns are addressed promptly to maximize customer satisfaction and retention

  • Track and report activities in a timely fashion and makes recommendations to improve the effectiveness of customer engagement and training activities

  • Keep up to date on competitive products and activities in accounts:

    • Provide regular updates and reporting of competitive impact on accounts

    • Tailor training curriculum to address competitive threats as needed

    • Communicate market intelligence to the EHS commercial team to leverage sales opportunities

  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of Bloomberg BNA Tax & Accounting products, services, and resources

     

REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years of progressively responsible and successful sales and marketing experience in a comparable business environment. EHS market experience is desirable and may be considered in lieu of some sales and marketing experience; excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to build relationships and work successfully with customers and colleagues; ability to quickly gain and convey an in-depth knowledge of Bloomberg BNA Environment Health & Safety products and services; ability to plan, develop, and conduct effective presentations to high-level professional audiences; ability to support sales efforts, including presenting offers and closing upgrades; ability to conduct EHS research; strong organizational skills and ability to use office productivity tools and technology in use at Bloomberg BNA; ability to work effectively with minimum supervision in an environment of multiple projects, shifting priorities, deadline pressure, and high accountability for results; ability to travel up to 20% of the time.Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, marketing, or sales; or equivalent experience.
