Multimedia Production Technician

Responsibilities: Assist the BSU/TV Director/Producer with various on-campus and off-campus video production activities including graduate fairs, homecoming, university visits, sports, etc. Collaborate with internal staff, broadcast journalism professors, and students on special audio/video programs and television studio productions as assigned. Assist in all aspects of live and pre-produced television productions. Work independently, as well as a part of a team to meet the mission, goals and objectives of the department and University. Master control operator. Perform post-production editing in collaboration with a producer/director/contractor and operating offline and online computerized editing and post-production systems. Post production consists of digital editing systems with Adobe Premiere, still and motion graphics design, and video compression algorithms. Operating video camera in studio environment, ENG and EFP which includes familiarity with professional cameras, prosumer camcorders, various HD and SD formats, preproduction/planning, studio and field production, lighting/grip, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and photography.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in video production, journalism or related field required. Minimum one (1) year of full-time television network experience in all aspects of video and audio production, television and field production, and graphic components required. Experience in the use of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Special Effects preferred. Experience in live television production and event coverage preferred. Experience in the use of digital editing systems preferred. Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop; familiarity with interactive multimedia production; familiarity with web/mobile development. Heavy lifting of production equipment may be required.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Periodic overtime required and extended hours.

SALARY: $40,852 - $45,000 GRADE: 11
