AboutWeb is seeking a System Administrator (RHEL) for a position in Dayton, OH.
Must have active TS/SCI clearance
Must have IAT Level II
  • Provide core hour support and non-core hour support on an on-call basis and as approved by the COR or QAP
  • Provide Tier III support
  • Enterprise includes primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Solaris/UNIX
  • Enterprise includes programs and applications that are a part of the RHEL workstation and server suite.
  • Enterprise maintains operating system versions as required by DoD and USAF
  • Enterprise includes services the NASIC enterprise message system and electronic records management
  • Interface with site Help Desk and trouble reporting system
  • Assign privileges, maintain, and troubleshoot systems and software problems
  • Contractor shall perform Certificate to Operate (CTO) testing and produce test result reports in accordance with provided guidance
  • Perform forensic analysis of security incidents and other malicious events as required
  • Conduct period audit reviews IAW NASIC and DoD guidance
  • Provide/maintain FDCC compliant workstation builds IAW NASIC processes and policies
  • Provide/maintain Windows server builds IAW NASIC processes and policies
  • Assist in hardware/software integration
  • Configure hardware and software for servers, RAIDs, storage arrays, and library storage devices
  • Create, configure, maintain, patch, and troubleshoot virtual systems under VMware and Citrix architectures
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, computer accounts, security groups and security policies
  • Create/maintain custom ad hoc scripting
  • Develop change plans for all Unix/Linux modifications
  • Develop change plans for all Windows Enterprise/Domain modifications
  • Ensure the proper assignment and configuration of operations master roles
  • Maintain Domain Name Service configuration integrated across Windows/Linux
  • Maintain configuration management controls, to include security/update patches
  • Maintain TCP/IP configuration controls, to include security/update patches
  • Maintain/administer/update approved third party Unix/Linux applications
  • Contractor shall maintain/administer/update Unix/Linux operating systems, products, applications and services
  • Maintain/administer/update Windows operating systems, products, applications and services
  • Administer services that utilize applications and services that uses common network protocols and services within the TCP/IP stack, such as DNS, SMTP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, etc
  • Conduct periodic log reviews
  • Configure and manage Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) settings
  • Establish new user accounts, assigns privileges, and maintains system security, troubleshoots system and software problems
  • Provide/maintain server builds
  • Administer Red Hat LINUX or other RPM-based distributions of LINUX
  • Administer BIND DNS, FTP, and NTP as required
  • Configure directory service parameters
  • Maintain/update custom Samba services
  • Maintain/update JumpStart server/workstation builds
  • Maintain/update programming/scripting languages and libraries
  • Maintain/update/administer cross domain systems when necessary
  • Manage and enhance virtual machine containers
  • Manage and monitor replication
  • Manage group shares and home directories
  • Monitor system usage and perform system tuning
  • Monitor, patch, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers
  • Provide Tier III support
  • Provide weekly performance, utilization and capacity reports
  • Provide network integration services
  • Provide production network integration services
  • Provide software related support to customer
  • Build/maintain/administer license servers
  • Perform software loading and configuration controls
  • Maintain print services: drivers, spooler, separator pages, printer configuration
  • Configure/maintain Windows attached storage
  • Maintain TCP/IP configuration controls
  • Maintain/administer/update Windows products, applications and services
  • Provide support for MS and third party application workstation products
  • Provide support for OS and third party application workstation products
  • Support installation/admin/update of antivirus software, server and signatures
  • Provide highly-available, fault tolerant file/print cluster services
  • Participate in technical exchanges
  • Ensure compliance with computer security policy
  • Provide compliance with USAF/DIA directives, including but not limited to Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO), Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Intelligence Community Vulnerability Alerts (ICVA).
  • Support in investigating, analyzing, correcting, and testing software related issues where applicable
  • Install/maintain security/update patches
  • Maintain and tracks user access
  • Provide/maintain functional utilization reports, scorecards, databases
  • Provide weekly functional area reports summarizing work accomplished, work planned in next week and important issues occurring during the week
  • Establish and update procedures and documentation and performs daily system monitoring and maintenance, data backup and restoration, data processing utilities, shell scripting, batch processing, security log audits, creation and deployment of server and workstation images
  • Maintain and track user access
  • Maintain architectural diagrams and shall document all installations/changes in accordance with NASIC guidance; tools utilized shall include AutoCAD and MS Visio
  • Monitor the enterprise daily for proper operation, performs routine system preventative and restorative Contractor shall establish and update procedures and documentation and performing daily system monitoring and maintenance
