IP PATENT PARALEGAL (U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL)

LOCATION: Washington, D.C. (Georgetown)

Well-known global law firm with a dynamic Intellectual Property practice seeks an IP Patent Paralegal with domestic and international experience to support various Intellectual Property attorneys.

1,500 billable hour requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

>Creating, revising, and filing prosecution documents

>Reviewing and maintaining a docket

>Reporting communications to clients and foreign associates in a timely manner

>Handling various prosecution formalities in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

>High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree and / or paralegal certificate preferred

>At least two (2) years of international and / or U.S. prosecution experience

>Thorough knowledge of patent procedural requirements and USPTO practices

>Excellent attention to detail

>Strong organizational and prioritization skills

>Ability to work both independently as well as in a team

>Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

>Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with an accurate minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
