  • GS-15 - Candidates must have had one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 or non-Federal equivalent.. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
    Specialized experience must include all of the following:
    • Experience supervising IT employees and/or contractors, assigning work evaluating performance, managing discipline, and performing the full range of supervisory duties in an IT organization.
    • Experience leading / directing IT specialists performing testing of IT solutions. The candidate must have experience leading / directing a test team. Broad experience is desired, i.e., all types of testing (User Interface, backend, performance, automated, etc.) at all levels (system, integration, acceptance, etc.) under both traditional (e.g., waterfall) and Agile (e.g., Scrum) development methodologies.
    • A significant knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) processes, methodologies, standards and best practices for traditional and Agile IT solutions, enabling the candidate to oversee the implementation and improvement of CM processes and procedures for the division and for the Office of Information Services.
    • Sufficient exposure to Release Management (i.e., the coordination, scheduling and deployment of releases for IT solutions) to enable the candidate to oversee the Release Management function for the Office of Information Services.
