They are currently sourcing for a Senior Accountant that will be heavily involved in core close duties and the reporting process. This position seeks a very high functioning candidate that is familiar with the REIT business culture. Below includes the basic functions of the position. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance. Key responsibilities - Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary - Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors - Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. - Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations - Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Produce monthly consolidated PL and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred - SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus - Account reconciliation experience desired - Must have excellent time management skills - Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills - ERP system experience - Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued - Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience - Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes All interested applicants please apply by sending your resume directly to Ty Smith at [Click Here to Email Your Resume].Robert Half Finance & Accounting, the world's leader in specialized financial staffing, provides exciting full-time opportunities in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more.
