JOB SUMMARY Marriott, the world's largest hotel company, is seeking someone like you to provide top notch analytical support to the Global Brand and Global Marketing organizations. You will enable marketing strategy by conducting analysis to evaluate a variety of advertising and promotional techniques including digital, social and traditional offline media. You will ensure that marketing stakeholders will optimize of their marketing efforts by developing and communicating insightful and actionable analysis. This role entails outstanding business to technical translation, structured yet creative thinking, cross-functional collaboration, hands on advanced analytical methods. This role is part of a highly visible team that is tasked with growth acceleration and reinventing customer experience for Marriott CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Master of Science from an accredited university in in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative discipline or 4 year degree plus equivalent experience 2 years' marketing experience as a quantitative Data Analyst/Data Scientist or a related role with domain knowledge in digital marketing and Web Analytics Technical Skills Demonstrated analytical ability with ability to synthesize and analyze large volumes of complex information from multiple sources SQL, R, Python Tableau, R Shiny Git, Jira MS Office including Power Point Management Skills and Discipline Expertise Proven track record of leveraging data for business decision making Ability to apply analytical methods to creative problem solving Web Analytics and Social Analytics Experience Experience with digital platforms including Doubleclick, Adobe Marketing Cloud or Google Analytics is a plus Professional experience with social platforms or social measurement tools is strongly preferred Proficient with DOE and A/B and multivariate testing Creative problem solver and relentlessly curious Strong business acumen; shareholder mindset Strong interpersonal skills and story telling ability to technical and non-technical audience. Experience partnering effectively with marketing agencies CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Perform creative, solid and actionable analysis to serve needs for specific Global Marketing and Brand Marketing stakeholders, including Delivering insight and providing guidance on both marketing programs and campaigns-level effectiveness Identifying meaningful relationships, patterns or trends enabling data driven strategies by mining customer, digital, social, and marketing activity Leading social measurement efforts, partnering with brand marketing partners to assess value of different social platforms Creating Marketing Measurement Frameworks and setting performance goals Supporting ad hoc analysis as required across the brand marketing, digital, and social teams Performing social activation analysis, ie .impact of social engagement on booking activity Setting up hypothesis based testing agenda for evaluating and optimizing media efficiencies Develop and present analytical recommendations and actionable insights to disseminate findings and successful practices to key stakeholders and senior management. Explain complex analytics to a broad audience with varying levels of technical background and understanding.
