Uniform Control Clerk (MGM National Harbor)
Grade: POSITION SUMMARY:It is the responsibility of the Uniform Control Attendant to provide excellent customer service and create a safe and friendly environment for employees and guests while processing uniform assignments, separations, and uniform exchanges/replacements for all uniformed employees. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and Company policies, practices, and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:* Processes new hires, separations and temporary uniform assignments.* Processes uniform cleaning by scanning bar codes of uniforms checked in for cleaning.* Scans uniforms received from the laundry.* Hangs uniforms on conveyor.* Pulls damaged or old uniforms from conveyor or cleaners as needed.* Sorts and stocks uniforms to inventory.* Maintains uniform inventory and reports low stock to manager.* Distributes uniform exchanges, loaner garments and one-for-one uniform transactions.* Applies bar code/RFID chip and name labels using heat seal machine or other appropriate method.* If applicable, washes and presses uniforms with commercial washing machine and steam iron and folds uniforms.* Processes and stocks uniform inventory.* Issues payroll deduction forms and loaner uniform request forms, if applicable.* Assists with all functions as needed.* Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:* None EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Required:* High school diploma or equivalent.* Previous customer service experience.Preferred:* Previous Uniform Department experience. This includes wearing appropriate and clean clothing/uniform and shoes, wearing hair in a neat and clean condition, maintaining personal cleanliness, ensuring neat and clean appearance of own work area, and ensuring property facilities are litter free.* Detail Orientation: The ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of details in work activities.
