Refer Save Apply Job ID CJB Description Position Objective The Financial Analyst Research will be responsible for all accounting functions of the Anne Arundel Health System Research Institute AAHSRI under the supervision of the Supervisor Contracts Grants This individual will conduct monthly revenue and expense analysis of research activity and will provide reports to Research Institute leadership and Finance department as required Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Provides monthly AAHSRI financial reports to central Finance and creates ad hoc reports as requested Invoice for applicable research study events and procedures using financial software applications and creates study administrative calendars and reconciles paid research study invoiceables in the AAHSRI clinical trials management system Updates electronic research administration database records Maintains current knowledge of research administration guidelines of Federal and non Federal sponsors supporting research activities preferably in a healthcare environment Monitor studies for billing and financial compliance purposes and consistently demonstrates support for compliance in the performance of job duties and responsibilities Develop and maintain knowledge of and performing job functions in compliance with rules regulations policies and statutes that affect his her job Maintaining knowledge of and performing job functions incompliance with AAHS and AAHS Research Institute policies and procedures Assist the Director Research Office and the Supervisor Contracts Grants with compiling proposal submissions for transmittal to sponsor including clinical trial and grant submissions and post award maintenance of awarded sponsored research Supports negotiation of research budgets and contracts and business terms with external funders as needed under the supervision of Supervisor Contracts Grants Other duties as assigned Educational Experience Requirements The minimum level of education and experience for this position includes Bachelor s degree in business finance or accounting and minimum of years accounting or financial reporting experience Experience can be substituted for educational requirement Relevant clinical research or hospital finance experience preferred Knowledge of electronic research administration or database administration with a basic understanding of grants management preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Demonstrated customer service focus and dedicated to working cooperatively with others in a professional ethical courteous and respectful manner Strong communication skills Required License Certifications Working Conditions Equipment Physical Demands There is reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood borne pathogens Physical Demands The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act The above job description is an overview of the functions and requirements for this position This document is not intended to be an exhaustive list encompassing every duty and requirement of this position your supervisor may assign other duties as deemed necessary Requirements Expertise Data Analyst Finance Clinical Research Data Analyst Finance Clinical Research Schedule Regular Full Time Regular Full Time Location Annapolis Annapolis
