Job ID 54490 Category: Information Technology Location: Reston, VA Posted: 5/11/2018 Job Description ABOUT THE POSITION We are currently seeking a dynamic Technical Business Systems Analyst III to join our team at our office in Reston, VA . The Technical Business Systems Analyst III will be be part of a fast-paced software development team responsible for gathering requirements, testing and delivery of features, and maintenance of our product suite. The Analyst will also be responsible for interfacing with internal and external clients and stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and supporting artifacts during all phases of SDLC. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Position Responsibilities: Interface with internal and external clients, vendors, engagement centers, corporate departments and IT development teams to define scope, requirements, identify and document functional specifications, and supporting artifacts during the software development lifecycle, based on user needs and industry standards. Lead scoping and requirements gathering meetings with business. Prepare detailed functional specifications and/or other artifacts from which programs will be written. Gain detailed understanding of application functionality, system design and file structures, including ability to write, read and execute SQL scripts. Develop and implement solutions and provide service and training to those requiring IT support. Work closely with the software engineers to ensure requirements are implemented as required and in line with standard practices. Prepare and conducts detailed functional testing of the specifications being developed. Adhere to project plans, timelines and provide support to the project manager. Support end user testing leading to successful delivery of project. Troubleshoot issues and assist users with identifying system errors and possible enhancement requirements. Provide mentoring and training to junior developers, including quality assurance reviews. Helps onboard new hires. Work on multiple projects and tasks and able to prioritize tasks. Serve as a Military OneSource product suite subject matter expert for end user testing. Serve as a lead on large Military OneSource projects and initiatives. Serve as a point of contact for production issues, conduct research and execute maintenance requests for the dedicated Military OneSource applications suite. Supports proprietary AS400 application. Responsible for and dedicated to the Military OneSource client. Other duties and project work as assigned. Position Requirements: Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred. Six to eight years of experience in related field in lieu of degree accepted. Licensure : Business Analyst or Project Management license preferred. Relevant Work Experience : Three (3) years' experience in application development and support or experience in an analytical role including project management responsibilities. Experience working in all phases of the SDLC required. Health Care industry knowledge preferred.
