We are seeking a talented well rounded System Engineer that specializes in desktop support related technologies to join our team. This position is for a team member that will be part of a larger engineering team that has a portfolio that includes enterprise storage, virtualization, a variety of server operating systems, and an emerging foot print in Cloud based IaaS/SaaS technology solutions. Job Duties: End to End development and management of computer image, imaging tool, and computer imaging procedures. Including but not limited to: - Developing and sustaining a deployable computer image (Windows OS) that adheres to latest CIS or DISA baselines & US House required settings/templates and add-on software - System design, build, deployment, sustainment of servers & tools used for computer imaging and computer data transfer - Develop & maintain work technical work procedures for staff performing computer imaging and computer end user support - Technical oversight and QC of the work & work product produced by staff performing computer imaging Provide technical lead support to the help desk and desktop support service managers and their staff. Fielding/resolving technical escalation from staff performing computer imaging and end user computer support First point of contact for internal and external customer for IT Security needs/concerns relating to end user support tasks and end user technology devices. Intial triage/vetting of concerns that may map in security incident response process relating to end user support. Coordination with Information Security team/s on remediation/resolution of security related problems with end user technology. Creating and maintaining documentation for all applicable duties Qualifications: Typically requires BS and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience. Required Skills & Minimums: 5 years' experience as a systems engineer supporting end user technologies (demonstrated work experience performing above noted functions) Intimately familiar with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and related hardware & software infrastructure for enterprise level computer imaging using MDT Expert level PowerShell scripting (demonstrated) to support post imaging / pre-deployment task sequencing Expert level mastery of Windows Active Directory group policy objects (GPOs)relating to windows computers in a Federal Government enterprise environment - Ability to develop from scratch as well as interrupt and modify existing GPOs Familiar with Microsoft SCCM Experienced at packaging & deploying automated software installations to computers using a range of industry standard "script & push" technologies Has 2 to 3 years prior end user support experience (in addition to 5 years directly related engineering experience) and is well versed at handing technical escalation from end user support staff Ability to stay organized and multi-task Strong communication and customer service skills (internal & external @ varied levels of org chart) Is familiar with these aspects of IT Security as it relates to end user technology - Federal government & industry standard governing policy and procedures documents - The most common hardware & software basslines used by the Federal Government for system deployment - Measuring/achieving/resolving variances with compliance for these baselines Leidos Overview: Leidos is a global science and technology solutions leader working to solve the world's toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
