SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT / CANDIDATE PROFILE Create strategy for the global Residential Marketing function to provide meaningful marketing support to Residential Licensees and to internal MI stakeholders. Lead the delivery of marketing support to third-party Residential Licensees and develop key working relationships within the global residential Mixed Use Development department, Brand teams, the Law department, the corporate Public Relations and Marketing depts. of Marriott International, Inc. (MI) and its affiliates in the implementation of strategic and tactical plans for increasing visibility of the company's global portfolio of branded Residences. This leadership role includes, but is not limited to, driving the fulfillment of special initiatives, utilizing existing MI's platforms to increase the exposure of MI's residential business, coaching the Residential Marketing team in finding win-win solutions to external and internal challenges and overseeing the corporate Residential Marketing team's relationships with our company's Residential Licensee community. Provide timely feedback/information to Sr. Management on how to best use our corporate resources to support all branded residential marketing and sales efforts globally. Key Accountabilities * Use technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes * Lead and inspire others; establish priorities for self and residential marketing staff * Manage own time effectively to meet goals and lead team in managing their goals * Set annual marketing department/unit budget and monitor spending * Demonstrate an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and lead marketing staff to improve and increase their skills and knowledge * Create marketing tools and resources for each residential brand * 20% travel on average * Perform other duties as appropriate Specific Expected Contributions * Design and deliver Brand Immersion Training and Orientation for new residential licensees * Design and deliver Sales Do's and Don'ts Training for new sales teams of residential licensees * Lead the evaluation of communications channels (database/direct mail, web/email, newsletters, print advertising, events) and other internal and external resources to achieve department and company goals * Continued communication with MI's brand teams to understand and implement brand voice and initiatives * Develop programs that provide low-cost, high-yielding impact to help licensees to attract prospective real estate purchasers * Lead timely communication of beneficial events/programs to residential licensees * Lead the marketing staff in reviews of residential licensees' public materials, including project web sites, to ensure compliance to legal and graphic standards * Advise Sr. Management on competitors' activities as news arises * Lead the selection of internal and external vendors (creative services, web/e-commerce, data analysis, etc.) to implement corporate residential marketing activities and to support licensees * Lead the growth and management of residential Digital Asset Library * Lead the management of licensees' use of Company data for direct mail programs * Direct the support activities provided to Residential Operations, to ensure compliance with legal and graphic standards * Lead Mystery Shopping activities and manage the communication of areas of concern to licensees * Champion new residential marketing opportunities that leverage Company marketing channels (ie, opt-ins, GuestVoice, corporate websites) * Review and approve residential sales centers * Lead the protection of the corporate identities of Marriott International and its affiliates with regard to licensees' actions * Educate licensees on evolving data privacy regulations and their application in direct mail and e-mail marketing Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
