Sr. Budget Analyst
Job Description Sr. Budget Analyst $40-50.00 hrly Location: Washington, DC 20002 June 15, 2018 - December 31, 2018 (extension of this timeline may be possible or poss. perm). A CPA is preferred but not required. The employee will report to VP Foreclosure Mitigation and will interact with the Sr. Specialist Finance division on a regular basis. This position will require access to the following: · NetSuite · We Connect · NFMC and Project Reinvest external mailboxes Temporary Position Summary and Essential Duties : The Senior Budget Analyst is responsible for management, planning, development, coordination, administration, monitoring and analysis of the Foreclosure Mitigation budget and budget planning activities to ensure that they are closely aligned with the Division's and clients strategic priorities. Providing overall management for the Foreclosure Mitigation budget including coordination of budget development, monitoring and analysis for NFMC and Project Reinvest: Financial Capability working directly with the VP of Foreclosure Mitigation and the Budget Analyst for Project Reinvest. Advising the SVP of National Initiatives and VP of Foreclosure Mitigation regarding financial projections and budget reallocations and adjustments; monitors budget to actual results; develops analyzing and proposing changes to divisional unit cost measures as necessary; maintain and proposing revisions to program budget processes and procedures. Coordinating review and update of Foreclosure Mitigation project and task codes in conjunction with Finance, analyzes time usage and progress related to score card measurement. Qualifications : A four-year degree in finance is required. Degree in accounting is preferred. CPA is preferred but not required. A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in budget and grants/contract management. PMP certification is preferred but not required. Strong research and analytical skills. Ability to synthesize and summarize complex, detailed financial data and summarize the information in a manner which can be easily understood by readers. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively with a broad range of staff and external stakeholders. Exceptional written and oral communications skills. Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance.
