Job Description Seeking a Software Developer to provide application development support within the Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The Software Developer will work in a team environment to develop and enhance code for DEA's software application framework to be utilized by development teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) · Areas of application development may include, at a minimum: o Implement design considerations for application development framework. o Develop windows services for long running and asynchronous tasks. o Business work flow and forms development. o Overall design and code review of applications for constancy and adherence to standards. o Provide input into organization's application development tools and testing procedures. o Database migration activities. o Application demonstrations and training (as needed). o Support for application deployment. o Security and application performance optimization. o Implementation of modern UI frameworks. · Daily utilization and demonstration of strong experience with Agile development methodologies. Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) · Minimum of 15 years of web development experience. · Minimum of 5 years of ASP.NET C# MVC based web development experience using Visual Studio 2008 or higher. · Minimum of 3 years of experience with Agile development methodologies. · An active Secret Clearance is required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: · Experience as a developer in a software environment that supported more than 3,000 users and a Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) with more than 250 tables and 1 million total rows. · Experience in at least 1 software development environment with a minimum of 1,000 automated unit tests. · Ability to work independently and part of a team. · Excellent oral and written communication skills.
