Job Description General Manager Reports To: Area Manager Position Profile The General Manager is the culture leader in the Sky Zone Park, ensuring the team has the knowledge and resources needed to maintain focus on the Sky Zone cores values. This position oversees all Manager-On-Duty and day-to-day operational functions as well as manages all programs, promotions, and business development activities. The General Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing processes, ensuring a safe and functional operating environment for the team and Guests, and consistently working to improve the Delivery of WoW Guest Experiences and operational efficiency. The General Manager leads the management team, providing coaching and development opportunities to Team Members at all levels. Also, this position is responsible for budget preparation and management, fund expenditures, developing strategic marketing and sales initiatives, as well as invoice, supplies, and vendor requirements. General Tasks and Duties Consistently demonstrate Sky Zone's core values Motivate the team and drive Sky Zone culture within the park Function as the Manager on Duty (MOD) and confidently function in and train all Team Member roles and responsibilities Adopt and maintain Sky Zone standards, policies, and procedures at all times Provide the team with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment Resolve Guest service issues with discretion and professionalism Ensure Team Members are knowledgeable about all products, programs and promotions offered Oversee team hiring, training, HR documentation, and evaluations Manage payroll percentages and budget and support Operations Manager(s) in scheduling Execute payroll processing responsibilities. Prepare and manage to a budget Establish a master calendar that includes all marketing events, promotions, special events, etc. Execute and drive results on goals established by the Franchise Partner, submit reports in established timeframes Maintain, plan and execute on approved in-park programming Schedule, evaluate and coach park management team Prepare scheduled deposits, conduct weekly audit of the safe and maintain petty cash funds Evaluate and implement operational best practices Oversee facility mail and bill processing Schedule regular meetings with the management team and Team Members to provide updates, conduct training, request feedback and share new information Review closing reports to ensure compliance Coordinate with the Sky Zone Home Zone and upper management in rollout of approved training, promotions, programming Monitor and update all facility signage, registration forms, and flyers Coordinate with upper management to add coupons, discounts, inventory items, or other items to the system as needed Provide staff with a welcoming and mutually supportive work environment Understand competitive landscape, pricing, and offerings Stay current with the Sky Zone Home Zone communication and relay important messages to members of the park team Manage Events team to Deliver WoW from the first Guest interaction through event finalization using consistent processes, coordination of event details, effective communication with Guests and development of the Guest relationships Develop strategies to drive birthday party bookings and revenue. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience 4 years minimum of personnel management experience in a ‘big box' high volume environment 4 years minimum of business budget experience Risk management experience Previous experience as a manager in a Guest-facing environment Experience with team scheduling Proven ability to prepare and manage a budget Proven ability to motivate a team and drive culture to create results Previous sales and marketing experience Previous cash-handling experience is required Ability to solve problems under pressure while maintaining a fun, friendly environment Previous management experience with new-to-the-workforce, part-time staff Ability to motivate a team and drive culture to create results Ability to set achievable goals for the team and individual team members Ability to balance supervision of Team Members while engaging with them to create a culture of family and fun at work Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to speak in front of groups Ability to project voice and be heard in a loud environment Core Competencies Lives and breaths the Sky Zone Core Values Has an entrepreneurial mindset Holds him/herself and others to high standards Coaches and develops people Is passionate about and involved in the community Displays a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the park Build and maintain strong work relationship with Team Members Displays a WoW personality Working Hours Full Time Employment 50 hours/week Nights required Weekends required Physical Requirements Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
