Job Description Due to new Customer Partnerships we are growing and expanding our business and as a result, we are looking for new talent to join our team! GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Lift Truck Maintenance Technicians diagnose and perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on a variety of powered industrial equipment, including lift trucks which are also commonly known as forklifts. They use hand tools as well as computerized testing equipment in order to locate and repair problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Performs maintenance to include but not be limited to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. * Routinely check items such as hydraulic fluid levels, tire pressure, the condition of the forks, drive control, steering and the brakes. * Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain all material handling equipment. * Ensure that all equipment is operational for receiving and distribution in the warehouse. * Notify supervisor when equipment needs to be sent out for further maintenance or repair. * Order parts and maintain required documents. * Performs other work related duties as assigned. * Must be able to work flexible hours. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to lead maintenance personnel on design/build projects involving multi-temperature distribution centers. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to handle multiple time sensitive projects s requiring a high level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Must have computer skills including MS Office Suite (outlook). Mechanical experience preferred. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years in a mechanical maintenance role; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS: Forklift Certification SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
