Lutron Programmer and Technician
Job Description Starr Systems Design is looking to fill the position of Lutron Programmer and Technician. The position requires someone who is capable of reading project plans and blueprints to engineer, install and program Lutron's complete suite of lighting and shading products. The position requires an eye for detail, client interaction, a professional work ethic, and a dedication to excellence. The technology we work with is constantly changing, so we must also adapt quickly to keep pace. This is NOT an entry-level position. Candidates should have experience, knowledge, and/or background in the following: Developing and expanding features and products using a variety of programming languages Review project requirements and write technical specifications (lighting plan, fixture schedule, etc.) Debug, test, and fix errors Document code development and revisions Create and use software tools to help automate writing code Must be proficient with Radio Ra2 Homeworks QS installation Lutron Shades The setup and use of Lutron connect and Home Control + app Lutron shading systems programming and integration Experience with Lutron Homeworks Illuminations (a plus but not necessary) Using hand and power tools to complete terminations of network cables Other requirements Have the ability to work with lighting drawings Fixture schedules Lighting and shade specifications Basic knowledge of Networking Electrical Theory Qualifications Previous experience in programming, software development, or other related fields Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong attention to detail Company Description Starr Systems Design is an award-winning Baltimore based leader in home audio/video systems, residential lighting control systems, alarm systems, and home integration systems.
