Job Description Perform service, maintenance, repair, and installation of pumps and equipment. Perform routine service and repair of diesel engines, pumps, and equipment as prescribed. Install/setup pumps and related pumping equipment and pumping systems. Assist with deliveries, including loading of heavy equipment onto transport vehicles. Troubleshoot and identify common diesel engine, pump, and equipment problems on various models. Document, organize and track work orders and related forms necessary for billing/invoicing for parts and services performed on equipment. Document a list of parts for servicing fleet equipment. Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality control. Assist other departments as necessary Adhere to safety and security regulations and procedures, including the immediate reporting of all unsafe acts and/or conditions. Required to work after-hours and weekends on a rotating on-call basis as needed. Qualifications Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices. Must have a working knowledge of DC electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot these systems. Must have a working knowledge of pump end construction and operating principles. High School diploma or GED required; Trade school graduate or comparable experience 1+ years of diesel engine repair and/or a minimum of being a graduate of diesel technical school training. Experience with portable construction pumps, pipe fusing, dewatering and wastewater by-pass operations is highly desired.
