Job Description Seeking FT Patient Coordinator for large Internal Medicine Practice in our New Chevy Chase location. Applicant must posses Medical Assistant skill/Certification . Duties include: answering phones, scheduling appointments, scanning documents, processing mail and other administrative tasks. Pre-employment drug screening is required. Professional presentation and communication skills is a must. Competitive salary and benefits. Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Must have proven work history and excellent customer service. Bilingual preferred. Essential Job Responsibilities: Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Routes calls appropriately, offering voice mail, paging, or redirection of calls as needed. Ability to schedule appointments and sending messages via EHR and electronically through Patient Portal Greets visitors and assists them as appropriate. Phones or pages employees to meet visitors, directs visitors to appropriate waiting areas, and appropriately and courteously screen solicitors for relevance to organization needs. Explains financial requirements to the patients or responsible parties and collects co-pays and balances as required. May be asked to perform Medical Assistant duties. Notifies Manager when supplies are needed. Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services to patients and providers. Requests, locates, sends and receives patient medical records. Other duties as assigned. Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or Certified Medical Assistant Diploma.
