Job Description Only LICENSED candidates will be considered for this role Location: Manassas, VA, Woodbridge, VA, Dumfries VA Behavioral Health team member providing assessments, brief therapy, and crisis intervention to eight to fourteen patients per day in a multicultural health center. Training and experience in evidence-based interventions and health psychology required. Under the close clinical supervision of the Behavioral Health Practice Director, provides consultation for the medical staff on behavioral health matters and serves as a treatment team member. Essential Functions Performs full diagnostic assessments for Center clients referred by medical staff. Provides behavioral health interventions for Center clients with non‐SMI, including substance abuse assessments, crisis interventions, brief individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and couples therapy. Refers clients with SMI to Community Services Board for treatment. Refers clients to other appropriate community resources. Participates in case reviews in partnership with Center medical staff and CSB staff. Prepares and presents cases for case review meetings. Serves as a consultant to medical staff on behavioral health matters. Plans and conducts in‐service programs concerning behavioral health for Center staff as assigned by supervisor. Attends and participates in staff meetings and professional development activities. Provides liaison services with community organizations involved in behavioral health activities. Maintains records in accordance with Center policies and practice. Qualifications, Education, and Experience Bilingual Spanish/English (strongly preferred) Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related behavioral science field Two - three years of experience in the delivery of human services in a human services environment or in a primary health care environment.
