Speech-Language Pathologist/CF (Type IIs/Anne Arundel County)
Job Description Our Type II Schools are 10-month programs located within the public schools and serve students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disabilities, and other health impairments. Students, who are able and with support, are integrated into general education classes for part of the school day. As the Speech-Language Pathologist or Clinical Fellow you will: Provide speech and language services to students in our three, 10-month Type II Schools in Anne Arundel County: Hannah More at Millersville Elementary School, Hannah More at Severn River Middle School, and Hannah More at Severna Park High School Screen and evaluate students for possible speech, language, and hearing deficits Provide individual and group speech and language therapy Work closely with treatment teams of students receiving services and assist in providing speech-language programs for staff development Meet with parents, school representatives, and others as needed Stay on top of developments in the fields of speech pathology and special education Requires: Current licensure as a speech-language pathologist by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (or must obtain license by time of hire) Experience working with children/adolescents with autism who are low functioning, non-verbal and have severe emotional/behavioral disabilities preferred **Will consider Clinical Fellows!** Company Description Sheppard Pratt Health System is the largest provider of non-profit mental health services in the US with more than 1.2 million patient encounters, net revenue of $336 million and $15 million provided in charity health care annually across two free-standing psychiatric hospitals, 12 special education residential and day schools, and numerous outpatient and telepsychiatry sites in Maryland.
