Electrical / Power Systems Engineer
Job Description Cardinal Engineering provides high-value engineering expertise to government and industry customers, developing critical systems that operate reliably in extreme maritime environments. We actively seeking qualified Electrical / Power Systems Engineer candidates for emerging opportunities. Ideal candidates are highly motivated and innovative, and capable of working both independently and with multi-disciplinary teams towards solving complex engineering problems to achieve cost-effective solutions and meet aggressive schedules. All experience levels, entry to senior, are sought. Provides electrical and power system engineering support to our US Navy ship and submarine programs. BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required (advanced degree desired). Specific knowledge of and experience with shipboard electrical power systems, instrumentation and control, power electronics, power quality, power system testing, and energy storage systems preferred. Familiarity with MIL-STD 1399-680/300B a plus. Candidate must hold a DOD SECRET level security clearance. Workplace is in the greater Washington, DC area.
