Job Description Job Summary: Licensed professional to provide clinical oversight for out-patient mental health facility in DC. Must have supervisory experience. Duties & Responsibilities: Direct and coordinate activities of the program and provides clinical leadership to program staff. Establish goals and objectives for services based on the established program philosophy and Licensure/Accreditation standards; establishes the organizational structure for their achievement. Conduct behavioral health assessments /diagnostic assessments /on enrolled consumers in the program Participate in the development and oversee the implementation of treatment plans Provide individual/family therapy for a small case load of 5 not to exceed-10 consumers Recruit, screen and hire appropriate clinical staff in conjunction with the Chief Executive Director. Ensure that each Community Support Staff and therapists receive weekly/monthly clinical and administrative supervision to ensure competence in the delivery of services. Evaluate, review and provide feedback concerning the performance of the Therapists and Community Support staff. Represent the agency at required Department of Behavioral Health and Community meetings Monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of performance of the program staff, resolving identified problems, reporting information to the Chief Executive Director, Quality Improvement Director, Medical Director, and as appropriate. Develop, plan and implement strategies to manage program growth and ensure self funding and sustainability of the program Manage an effective case management system; assign clinical caseload and manage delivery of services. Assure that program staff receives in-service training as scheduled Conduct program staff meetings to discuss plans, outline goals and objectives, review problem areas and disseminate information. Recruit clinical interns, conduct outreach, and maintain working relationships with graduate schools Assess staffing and scheduling practices for delivery of program services and for cost effectiveness. Participate (when available) on the Quality Improvement Committee Meetings. Maintain 24 hour/day, 7-days/week availability for agency needs; appoints a designee in the event of non-availability. Assist in the development of the individual treatment plan. Participate in the multi-disciplinary team conferences. Work effectively with CEO, staff to maintain an efficient billing system Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of psychology, social work, professional counseling, education or medicine with licensure as a Clinical Psychologist, Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker Licensed in the District of Columbia. Five or more years of experience in the delivery of mental health treatment to adults, children, adolescents, and families Must possess knowledge of milieu management, group dynamics, individual and family treatment, biological aspects of psychological illness; demonstrated leadership ability and skills. Must be reliable and consistent with attendance and punctuality to work Maintain good working relationships with all other mental health agencies Represent the agency in a professional manner Candidate must have satisfactorily completed a criminal background check, fingerprint check and submission to the child protection registry.
