HUD Experienced Maintenance Technician
Job Description Completion of Questionnaire and Resume submission required in order to have application reviewed. Must be able to pass Drug Test and Background Check. Position Summary Seeking a HUD experienced maintenance technician for 167 unit property with a variety of garden and townhouse style rental units that will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance field to include, but not limited to; turning units ensuring they are ready for occupancy, trouble shoot and repair appliances, HVAC systems, repair leaks, complete drywall repairs, be knowledgeable in electrical, plumbing, carpentry. The Ideal candidate is CFC certified, has a great understanding of HUD REAC inspection standards, can handle most of the property's work in-house as per owner expectations, at least 3 to 5 years of HUD maintenance experience with multi-dwelling units. Responsibilities Complete service requests in a timely manner per industry standards. Punchout and turn vacant units to make ready for move in. Perform industry standard routine preventative maintenance. Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work site “On call' rotation with other Maintenance Technicians. Walk the property daily and report any liability problems immediately. Follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Perform any and all duties called upon by supervisors to ensure that the property operates in an efficient and economic manner. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience with Industry Standard Equipment Maintenance/Repairs a MUST in the following fields HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and painting. CFC Certification desired Possess a valid Driver's License Own your own Tools and vehicle Skill and ability to effectively use a variety of hand and power tools. Deadline and detail-oriented Ability to handle physical workload PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS/HAZARDS Light/heavy lifting, carrying materials, operating light/heavy equipment, moving of equipment. Ability to work in all types of weather. Occasional hazards with materials in the grounds trade, including chemicals. Must be able to frequently walk the apartment community.
