Human Resources Director (Stafford) Job ID: 333 Posted: 06/05/2018 Employment Type: Full-Time Entry Level: No Locations: Stafford, VA JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of entire Human Resources function. Responsible for effectiveness of the Human Resources function company-wide. Extensive interaction with employees, management, vendors and community organizations. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Develops and administers an effective recruitment program. Oversees company benefit plans to ensure value, competitiveness, and compliance. Oversees affirmative action program and serves as EEO specialist. Monitors performance appraisal program for compliance and effectiveness, makes changes as needed. Responsible for company compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all human resource matters. Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development for company, to include developing and implementing supervisory training programs and legal compliance training. Responsible for compensation program and submits recommendations to the Executive Committee for approval. Directs administration of job classification programs, which include classifying and reclassifying positions, and developing job descriptions. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the President, Executive Vice President, or Senior Vice President on personnel matters. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education: A bachelors degree in human resource management, public administration, psychology, or business administration, OR a Masters degree in Human Resource management or related human resources field. Experience: 8-10 years general experience in the HR field with seven (7) years managerial and supervisory experience in public or private human resource management. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: PHR or SPHR certification preferred. Other Minimum Qualifications: General knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices; knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of human resource management; knowledge of the organization and operations of administrative programs; ability to develop long-term plans and programs to evaluate work accomplishments; ability to apply and adapt practices and techniques to the special requirements of senior management; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
