We are looking for an Project Acquisition Specialist I to be to be located in Lorton, Virginia. The Project Acquisition Specialist I provides advisory and assistance services (A&AS) support to the Department of Defense (DoD), Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Chemical Weapons Destruction (CWD) Program. Qualified applicants should include their resume along with a cover letter at . Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Candidates must hold a DOD SECRET CLEARANCE. Duties : Provide subject matter expertise on Acquisition aspects of program and project planning and analytical activities. Leverage familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the DTRA's process for Acquisition programs and the various program reviews required for Acquisition approval. Prepare acquisition milestone program documentation (eg, SOO, SOW, WBS, Market Research Report) to support milestone decisions and ultimately, award of contract or interagency order. Assist Government with contract execution, to include assessing and tracking risks and propose mitigation strategies associated with those risks/issues. Track and monitor unresourced requirements, contract expenditures/unliquidated obligations and conduct contract closeout activities. Provide staff action management, analytical support and coordination. Assist with program and project strategic communication, long-range strategic project planning and analysis to include Program Objective Memorandum development and budget planning. Maintain ability to travel overseas as much as 25 percent of the time. Qualifications: Required Education/Experience: Undergraduate degree from an accredited university 3 - 5 years of demonstrable experience in program management, project management, DoD acquisition, or Government contracting Must have DoD Secret clearance Current and valid US Passport Strong interpersonal, diplomatic, and communications skills are required Desired Education/Experience: Graduate degree from an accredited university in an area related to project management, program management, or science Familiarity with US government efforts in chemical weapons destruction and/or CBRNE Project Management Professional (PMP) credential Toeroek offers a competitive benefits package and salaries.
