Job Purpose: Our Accounting department is seeking a self-driven Senior Accountant to complement our growing team and provide assistance with oversight of day-to-day accounting activities and cost proposal development. The Senior Accountant position is a full time position located in Chantilly, VA. Job Duties: Experience with Government cost proposal preparation Review and confirm AP voucher accuracy and cash disbursements to ensure appropriate accounting treatment is being followed In-house payroll processing Prepare and post month end journal entries Prepare Ad hoc reporting requests for management and operations Assist with audits from government agencies including Annual Financial Review. Prepare Bank reports and monthly bank reconciliation reports from the on-line banking system. Participate in monthly financial close process. Monthly revenue recognition including invoicing and unbilled schedules. Annual Incurred Cost Submission Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Must have a minimum of 5 years working in government contracting environment and cost accounting in IDIQ, CPFF, Firm-Fixed Price and T&M contracts. Must have knowledge of all modules of Costpoint 7.0 with the exception of Inventory Working knowledge of Federal Government Accounting Regulations such as FAR as it pertains to transaction accounting Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word Preferred Qualifications and Experience: CPA or advanced degree in Accounting is a plus but not required Cognos Reporting knowledge a plus Knowledge of the government contract audit process and procedures is preferred. Knowledge of 401(k) and ESOP Plans including Audits Experience in Deltek TE Time and Expense strongly preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally Ability to bend, stoop and squat frequently TechLaw Holdings is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
