Job Description: Sentara Healthcare Occupation Medicine located on the Campus of Obici Hospital in Suffolk is recruiting for a Part time RN to work Day shift. Office hours are 8am to 4:30pm.

This position provides Occ Health Program services for one of our contracted clients LifeNet Health. The Nurse will travel off site to perform vaccinations as needed for our clients.

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Sentara Healthcare by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system.

The Registered Nurse develops, implements and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. While working in the Urgent Care or Occupational Medicine clinics, RN should be prepared to perform substance abuse testing which would include collecting a urine, hair or breath sample. Depending on the actual clinic location assigned, may also be expected to perform audiometry and spirometry.

Preferred: Basic Life Support

BSN or MSN preferred. Meets any requirements defined by specific specialty. BLS required within 90 days of hire. New Hire education requirements: obtains breath alcohol, UDS, and hair collections certifications within 90 days of hire. May not perform these duties without current certification. All Registered Nurses who do not have their BSN will be required to sign a BSN Agreement committing to successfully obtain their BSN within 5 years of hire..May also be required to obtain NIOSH and CAOHC certifications within 1 year of hire. May not perform these tests without current certification.
