Job SummaryWarehousemen at the full-performance level are skilled in the use of material handling equipment and are cross-trained to work independently and proficiently in any of the following three warehouse work units: Dock Operations, Stock Management, and Property Reutilization. The full performance warehouseman works independently, determining daily priorities with only general guidance. As surge requirements dictate, he/she is required to work as part of a team in any of the work units. Full-performance warehousemen are expected to mentor contractor entry/developmental warehousemenDock OperationsUnloads materials.Receives materials.Loads cross dock materials.Stock ManagementFills orders and retrieves materials.Obtains materials from Dock Operations for storage.Collects data for customer billing purposes.Practices quality assurance.Property ReutilizationReviews/approves property reutilization requests.Processes materials determined for reuse:Processes materials to be disposed of securely:.Processes materials to be recycled:The full-performance warehouseman also mentor contractor entry/developmental level warehousemen and perform other duties as assigned, depending on surge and other warehouse requirements.Independently performs duties in all of the following warehouse work units: Dock Operations, Stock Management, and Property Reutilization.Minimum RequirementsThorough knowledge of internal policies and regulations that pertain to storage, shipping, and handling of materials (to include specialized materials).Demonstrates understanding of the business operating procedures.Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications.Good interpersonal and customer service skills.Ability to operate various material handling equipment in accordance with safety requirements and procedures.Ability to safely move material of various sizes and weights throughout the warehouse and onto and off trucks.Materials may include crates, furniture, electronics, HAZMAT, lumber, vehicles, 55-gallon drums, and military items.Ability to operate, and guide and/or train others in the use of, various material handling equipment in accordance with safety requirements and proceduresAbility to lift up to 70 lbs.Ability to operate an industrial shredder in accordance with safety requirements and procedures.Ability to exercise good judgment in decision making and creative in problem solving (i. e. maximize space, handle the wide range of materials received, deal with multiple customers and priorities, and resolve inventory discrepancies.)Ability to read and understand manifests and other documents.Ability to maintain accurate records.Ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to obtain forklift certification.Preferred QualificationsTwo years of progressively responsible experience in Logistics Services warehouse operations.
