Job Description Responsibilities: Provides individual and group crisis stabilization services to adults experiencing an acute crisis of a psychiatric nature that may jeopardize their current community living situation. The goals are to avert hospitalization or re-hospitalization; provide normative environments with a high assurance of safety and security for crisis intervention; stabilize individuals in psychiatric crisis; and mobilize the resources of the community support system, family members, and others for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation, and recovery. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a mental health related field. One or more years of experience working with individuals with persistent mental illness desired. Prior experience mediating crisis situations, including but not limited to suicidal intervention and or dealing with traumatic personal or financial losses required. QMHP eligible. Basic knowledge of DSM, diagnostic categories of mental illness, symptoms and appropriate treatment modalities required. Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required, computerized consumer information systems experience desired.
